One thing I’ll say about baseball: If it’s a tie game, when a game ends, it feels closed. Most overtime football games end with a field goal.  Basketball is just another quarter.  Hockey is intense, but the back and forth makes it impossible to weight.  Soccer is just terrible.In baseball, pitching or catching, the last moment is always epic.  The swing that ends the game; the swinging strike to close the ball game;  it’s a concrete moment. Raul Ibanez, Phillies outfielder, smacked a solo home run in the bottom of the 10th tonight, and this is what greeted him at the plate. Goddam, I love this baseball team.
